Season KTMA

First 3 episodes?

I assume like every other collection, you are still missing the first 3 episodes which are considered lost.

remaining episode numbers

Those remaining episodes should be:

MST3K_K04_Gamera_vs_Barugon.avi
MST3K_K06_Gamera_vs_Gaos.avi
MST3K_K07_Gamera_vs_Zigra.avi
MST3K_K08_Gamera_vs_Guiron.avi
MST3K_K18_The_Million_Eyes_of_Sumuru.avi

KTMA

What does KTMA stand for?

KTMA is the call sign for

KTMA is the call sign for the TV station on which MST3K originated. TV23 KTMA, Minnesota. That's where some of us locals got to see Mystery Science Theater for the first time, way back when. :-)

How do I download ?

I'm an idiot I'm afraid. How do I download these episodes, the only thing I download is a 'Torrent Document'...what do I do with it ?

First

First stop:

http://www.bittorrent.com/

Too many clients to list, for (nearly) every platform imaginable.

Thanks

Thanks Mr. Plastik, you truly are a God amongst men.

Download

Thanks ! I'm downloading now, I'll start 'seeding' (I think the term is) ASAP...if I can do it anyone can !

What file type are they downloaded from?

Do the files download directly as a DVD or do I have to convert them??? Also what is seeding?? I really am completely clueless!!!

SVCD, DVD, Burning and Torrent Seeding Question

@mumthenut: These are ready to be viewed (mostly mpeg4 aka codec MP42) as AVIs. They will need to be converted to be burned as VCD/SVCD/DVD.
My personal favorite player, as it provides a consistent interface on every platform I use, is VLC. Note: There's a few with the xvid codec as well, I can't recall which but this is rare.

Now, as for seeding; with torrents it's all based on sharing with others (seeds share to leechers, and leechers share to other leechers), once you've downloaded your episode from all those poor bastards, you should try and be kind enough to continue seeding (providing the file) for new "leechers" (hopefully soon to be seeders) that enter the fold.

This makes the process faster (and less intensive on seeders) as more seeds become active, this is supposed to scale exponentially in growth. However, after some time, people will delete the file, or just not open their bittorent client, this killing the seeder. (In other words, bittorrent has to be running, for you to be seeding.)

You will probably want to set your upload speed to a fairly low number as to not interrupt any other internet communications. (10k/s is usually fair) This can be done in Bittorrent 6.1 via "Options" -> "Preferences" (or just Control+P) "Bandwidth" -> "Global Upload Rate Limiting" and set the "Maximum Upload Rate" to something more conservative, like 5, 10, or 20. Those of you with larger pipes may wish to share more. There's no prizes for seeding, other than knowing you're not just taking something from a group of people and walking away, without returning the help they gave.

So, please seed, for people trying to get the episodes, and for my server bandwidth's sake. :)

Superdome

Is this the full version of 'Superdome' or the one with the end segment missing ?

'Superdome'

I downloaded it to check, and 'Superdome' is missing the end host segment.

Is there any way to get the full version ? Hasn't the end seg. been found ?
